First Step Pistol Orientation Class

This class is a four (4) hour class designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling of and proper orientation to a semi-automatic pistol. Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling for their particular pistol, parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, and cleaning of the firearm.
Participants must bring a properly functioning handgun, 50 rounds of ammunition, and eye & ear protection. Handgun rentals and ammunition purchases are available for an additional fee.

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Class

This is an eight (8) hour course designed to develop the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for the identification and safe handling and storage of firearms. Course topics include: gun safety rules, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, two-handed shooting positions, and shooting range safety.
Students will complete live fire training as well as a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor. Students will receive a course completion certificate.
Participants must bring a properly functioning handgun, 150 rounds of ammunition, and eye & ear protection. Firearm rental and ammunition are available for an additional fee.

Basic Florida Concealed Carry of Weapons Class - Weekday

The State of Florida recently enacted “Constitutional Carry” that allows individuals to carry firearms in a concealed manner without the need for a ‘CCW License.’ Even though the State does not require a license to carry concealed, it is still a good idea for individuals to learn about the laws regarding concealed carry. And, if you wish to carry a concealed weapon in another state that reciprocates with Florida that does not have Constitutional Carry, then you are required to possess a CCW License from Florida to legally carry in that other state.
This class is a three (3) hour awareness class designed to develop new, and enhance existing, firearms handling and marksmanship skills for personal protection. Included topics are: Concealed Carry Laws, State-to-State Reciprocity, Cleaning & Carry Methods, Self defense Laws, Tactical Considerations and Fighting Mindset. Participants must bring a properly functioning handgun, 50 rounds of ammunition, and eye & ear protection.

Florida CCW Class - Weekend

Click here to register to take the Florida CCW Class. This class assumes a basic understanding of how a gun functions. This class will teach the basics of handgun safety, defensive use, the 7 fundamentals of marksmanship, and the gun laws in the state of Florida. In this class, you will show proficiency in loading, unloading, and firing a gun, safely and accurately, in order to pass and receive your certificate. You will shoot a minimum of 25 rounds. Handgun 101 - Beginner's Basic Defensive Handgun - Weekend

If you've never held or shot a gun before (or if it's been a long time), THIS is the class for you and is geared toward both male and female new shooters. From understanding firearm safety to mastering proper grip and stance, we've got you covered. Discover the fundamentals of shooting and gain confidence in handling a handgun. The class builds a comfort level by teaching you about the mechanics of a firearm, how it works, how to handle it safely, how to load and unload it, how to manipulate the cylinder on a revolver or the slide on a semi-automatic. Personal Protection Inside the Home

This NRA Certified Course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for the protection of self and family inside the home, and provides information on the law-abiding individual's right to self-defense.
During this course, students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, defensive pistol ammunition types, safe storage of firearms in the home, strategies for home safety and home defense preparation, responding to violent confrontations, and home invasion prevention techniques. Approximately 100 rounds of ammunition are needed.

Cost is $149 and the class runs from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

NRA Defensive Pistol

Click here to register for the class. This NRA Certified Course focuses on the techniques needed to develop a defensive mindset. The goal of the course is to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to carry and use a concealed firearm ethically, responsibly, and with confidence. As a result of participating in this course, the student will be able to explain and demonstrate the following: How to apply the NRA Rules for Safe Gun Handling when carrying a concealed handgun, basic principles of concealment, the difference between cover and concealment, drawing from the holster, levels of mental awareness, developing the proper mindset when using a handgun for personal protection, clearing common stoppages, use of pocket pistols, and more. Students who successfully complete the course will receive the NRA Defensive Pistol certificate. This course is conducted by an NRA Certified Advanced Pistol Instructor. It requires at least 100 rounds of ammunition and an outside the waistband holster. Classes begin at 9:00 AM and end at 1:00 PM. Cost is $119.

DRAWING/HOLSTERING FOR THE BEGINNING SHOOTER

Click here to register for the class. This class is for any firearms enthusiast who wants to learn the fundamentals of a proper and safe technique for drawing, firing and holstering a firearm. Proficiency in these skills is basic to, and essential for, safely and confidently carrying a concealed firearm. This is a 2.5 hour class taught by Tim Caulfield and it includes dry fire and live fire exercises. Tim is a certified NRA Chief Range Safety Officer, Rifle Instructor, and Basic Handgun Instructor and was also FDLE certified as a firearms and shoothouse instructor. Tim has 30 years of law enforcement experience in which he held several positions including SWAT Operator/Medic Tactical Team Member and K9 handler/trainer. Class fee: $50 includes eye and ear protection (if needed) and targets. Class time: 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM on the first Saturday of every month. Come to the Shooting Center to check in by 8:45 AM. Gear reguirements: Firearm, 100 rounds of ammunition, Outside The Waistband Holster, magazine pouch, concealment garment (no open carry).

Personal Protection Outside the Home

for avoiding dangerous confrontations and for the safe, effective, and responsible use of a concealed pistol for self-defense outside the home. Personal Protection Inside the
Home is a required prerequisite for this course.

The NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home offers the essential knowledge and skills that must be mastered to carry, store, and use a firearm safely and effectively for personal protection outside the home. After the classroom portion,
students will spend time on the range and shoot approximately 100 rounds. The ammunition requirements are minimum and may be exceeded.

The NRA Basics of Personal Protection Outside the Home is for adults who are not disqualified from possessing a firearm as defined by applicable federal, state, or local law and are of
good repute, and possess defensive pistol skills as presented in the NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home Course. Participants must also understand the basic legal
concepts relating to the use of firearms in self-defense and must know and observe not only general gun safety rules but also those safety principles that are specific to defensive situations.
Cost is $149 and the class runs from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

USCCA Women’s Handgun, Concealed Carry & Self Defense Fundamentals

Guns, holsters, and concealed carry leggings aren’t a “one size fits all,” so why would self-defense instruction be any different? The purpose of this training is to provide a distinctly feminine approach to personal defense. We want to empower you with the confidence, knowledge, skills, and abilities required to use a handgun safely and proficiently. We encourage you to get out of your comfort zone, adopt the right mindset for personal protection, and train and practice regularly.
Our expert instructors will cover everything from the basics of handgun safety, defensive use, the 7 fundamentals of marksmanship, and the gun laws in the state of Florida. In this class you will show proficiency in loading, unloading and firing a gun, safely and accurately.
This class is lively, interactive, and very detailed. Ladies who pass this course will receive a USCCA Certificate of Completion which can be used to apply for your CCW.. Begin your journey now by discovering your “why” when it comes to personal defense and firearms training. Class size is limited to 12 ladies. You will shoot approximately 25 rounds. Please bring at least 50 rounds as we might shoot more.

The cost of this class is $85 Classes start at 1 P.M. and lasts approximately 3.5 hours.
